Bootstrap
Bootstrap is an open source toolkit for developing with HTML, CSS, and JS. Quickly prototype your ideas or build your entire app with our Sass variables and mixins, responsive grid system, extensive prebuilt components, and powerful plugins built on jQuery.
Originally created by a designer and a developer at Twitter, Bootstrap has become one of the most popular front-end frameworks and open source projects in the world. The first version was released on , but has already had 4 major code base revisions. With Bootstrap 2, they added responsive functionality to the entire framework as an optional stylesheet. Building on that with Bootstrap 3, they rewrote the library once more to make it responsive by default with a mobile first approach. Bootstrap is now in version 4 after a migration to Sass and CSS’s flexbox.
Bootstrap will literally save you days of web development time and let you focus on your project by giving you the most commonly used pieces of a website all ready to go in their CSS. Best part of all is the bootstrap framework is completely responsive and adaptive for mobile users. Bootstrap is commonly cited as the most popular front-end framework in the world, so if you haven’t heard of Bootstrap, you aren’t the entrepreneur who’s coding the website.
